Day 33: Rainbow Falls to Marathon

Today we rode 142 km's from Pays Plat First Nation to Marathon. This definitely ranks as one of our hardest rides the entire trip. It was one steep hill after another!

Go Dena Go!!! She made it to the top of the hill. One of the many we encountered today!

Vern, almost to the top!

The hills never gave us a break the whole day, the first one lasted 11 straight km's.  And the last 60 km's... the steep hills just kept coming and coming!

We met a man who is running across Canada! Edmond the Great!

Mark found a friend along the way!

The bugs in Ontario are vicious!!

We also met Mark from Edmonton. He is riding from Montreal back to Edmonton. He sleeps in the wilderness with the bears to save money. Don't forget to store your food in a tree Mark!!

We found a cool old train bridge. Still working!

Our support team!

Hallelujiah! Highways with shoulders again!

But the biggest surprise of all? when Mark and Nola went to the car wash to clean the bikes, the met Mr Peter Miller, and his wife Emilie Lebanc!
It just so happens that Peter has a radio show called "Travelling with Peter Miller" in Montreal!

Thank you Peter!

And he will be putting us on the show when we arrive in Montreal!
YEE HAW!
