Not all of us get to train in St.George!

While some were riding and preparing for our ride across Canada in sunny climates others of the CRR team were relegated to doing their best in the Canadian Winter.

Members of the CRR team that recently participated in the Canadian Training were Mark Bishop, Ryan Ockey and Eddie the chocolate lab.

Mark Bishop is part of the core Chain Reaction Ride Team along with Ken Wallace and Vern Hyde.  During the ride this spring Mark will take on the role of Mechanic.  But before the Ride, Mark's main focus is sponosrship -this is where Ryan comes in.

In addition to helping Mark Train for his ride across Canada, Ryan Ockey, President and CEO of Cardel Homes in Calgary, is supporting the Chain Reaction Team through major sponosrship.

We would like to extend a big thank you to Ryan Ockey and Cardel Homes for thier financial support.  A big thank as well to all our donors so far.

St George Training camp

Hello everyone.  In January Ken, Audrey and I went traveled to St George Utah to do some cycling. We wanted to keep tuned up and ready for the ride.
We did some great rides and big hills... all total we rode for 420 kms and only had 3 flat tires during the week :)... one of the hills we rode in St George is nicknamed "The Wall"....

A gruelling hill that makes people cry, or get off and walk. I am happy to announce that we rode "The Wall" twice and made it both times without crying or getting off.

The major motivation for riding up "The Wall" was that a short distance from the top is a cute pie bakery store with the best pies ever!!

  We rode for the pies!!
We discovered that Audrey is good going up hills,  Ken is good on the flats, and Vern is good on the down hills!

Come see what we are training for!
